Perfect Roasted Brussels Sprouts

You'll need

  • 1/2 kg brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil⁠
  • A good sprinkle of ground sea salt⁠

To make

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C (425 degrees F) ⁠
  2. Slice off the nubby ends and remove any discolored or damaged leaves. Cut each sprout in half from the flat base through the top
  3. In a large roasting pan, add a sheet of baking paper⁠
  4. Combine the halved sprouts, olive oil and salt and toss until they are evenly coated
  5. Arrange the sprouts in an even layer with their flat sides facing down⁠
  6. Roast the sprouts for approx 25 minutes; turning them halfway until they are tender and deeply golden on the edges
